CBL: How did you get started?

Shawn: I loved working with people and really loved music so I combined the 2 things I really enjoyed the most to create Event Team Entertainment. It was always a dream of mine to own my own company so I was able to fulfill this lifelong dream back in 1997. I got my start in Arizona, but moved the business to Oregon in 2004.

CBL: What inspires you?

Shawn: I am inspired by my friends, family, colleagues and my clients. The joy of pulling off another Unforgettable wedding keeps my fire burning. I love working with people that want to have a unique celebration that will provide them many great memories for the rest of their lives! CBL: What's the best part about your job? Shawn: I get to work with new couples planning the biggest day of their lives every weekend of the year! It does not get better than sharing the most amazing day with two amazing people. I get to work at incredible locations in a variety of settings all across Oregon, Washington and Arizona!

CBL: What makes Event Team Entertainment different from the other DJ companies?
Shawn: I truly love what I do and enjoy helping families celebrate on their Big Day! I do this full time so I am always available for my couples. I will work tirelessly to help you create the Wedding of your dreams. I am always learning new, fun and unique ways to help you make your Wedding very personal. I am Oregon & Washington’s only Wedding Entertainment Director as certified by the Wedding Entertainment Directors Guild.

CBL: What advice do you have to offer clients looking to hire a DJ?

Shawn: You must find a personality match! Go with your gut, but do your research because only 18% of our industry DJs for a living. Make sure your DJ has time for you and also has the right style and charisma to fit in with your families. Have your DJ share video & audio samples of them working at a wedding.

CBL: Tell us an interesting fact about you.
Shawn: I am a fraternal twin born 37 minutes after my brother Joshua. The interesting part was the Doctors told my mom she was only have one son so after Josh was born they were stitching her up when she went back into labor to have me. I was born in Boston, Massachusetts and although I only lived there for 3-years I am a die hard Boston Sports Fan! Go Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins!!!!
